Rules for safe and lawful use of Pepys

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies whenever you use Pepys, including the AI Journal Prompt Generator. You must be at least 18 years old. This AUP forms part of the Terms of Service; the Privacy Policy explains how Pepys handles information. Pepys is operated by Chao Wang as an individual operator.
You may use Pepys only for lawful, personal creative work. Do not ask the service to create, transform, facilitate, or promote prohibited material or conduct, and do not attempt to bypass its safeguards.

You also must not use Pepys for terrorism or mass violence; weapons of mass destruction; fraud, phishing, scams, or identity theft; spam or coordinated inauthentic activity; jailbreak attempts or other safety evasion; or to present AI output as medical, legal, or financial professional advice. Do not use the tool for emergency response, diagnosis, treatment, or decisions that require a qualified professional.
Pepys may scan request inputs and candidate outputs through Waffo before display. OpenRouter routes generation to the DeepSeek V4 Flash model. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable; review it before use. Waffo, OpenRouter, and DeepSeek are independent services or brands. Their names describe service roles and do not mean that they sponsor, endorse, or officially operate Pepys.
Depending on the conduct and risk, Pepys may reject requests, require additional verification, restrict AI generation quota, suspend or terminate accounts, and preserve content-free audit records. Pepys does not operate a public gallery, feed, or sharing page for generated Prompts, so these measures apply to service requests, access, and accounts.
Moderation audit records do not contain your selections, background, or generated Prompt. They are retained for 90 days and then handled by scheduled cleanup, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Report prohibited use or appeal a safety decision by emailing support@pepys.page. Include enough non-sensitive information for us to identify the issue; do not email private journal text unless it is necessary for your request.
Severe safety reports target review within 24 hours. Ordinary reports and appeals target review within five business days. These are review targets, not a promise of 24/7 staffing or a guaranteed outcome.
