The terms and conditions governing the use of Pepys

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Pepys, a service for designing printable journal pages and exporting them as PDF files. By accessing or using Pepys, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Pepys lets you create single-page journal projects, upload images that are processed into stickers, and export print-ready PDF files. Split exports that pack stickers onto photo paper consume credits according to the pricing shown in the app. Exported PDF files are generated on demand and are not stored by us.
When you create an account you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for all activities that occur under it.
You keep all rights to the images and text you upload or create in Pepys. You are solely responsible for the content you upload. You must not upload content that infringes any third party's copyright, trademark, portrait or other rights, or that is unlawful. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate this rule. Pepys does not review uploaded content for copyright compliance.
By using the service you grant us the limited technical license required to store, process (e.g. background removal output), render and deliver your content back to you. We claim no ownership of it.
Original uploaded files are processed in your browser and are not stored long-term on our servers. Optimized print materials are stored so your projects keep working. Free accounts have a 30MB print-material space protection limit; Pro accounts have a 500MB limit. These are operational safeguards, not a photo-storage service. We may prevent uploads, copies, or other operations that add print-material bytes after the applicable limit is reached. Existing pages remain available to edit, print, and export, including when a former Pro account is above the Free limit.
When you delete a project or a print material falls out of use, the related files are soft-deleted and permanently removed from object storage after a 7-day grace period. Deleting your account removes your journal data and stored print materials immediately.
Split exports cost credits. Credits may expire as described at purchase or grant time. A successful charge happens only after your PDF has been generated; failed exports are not charged. Repeated downloads of the same project version are not charged again. Payments and subscriptions are processed by our payment provider; fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Physical print accuracy (±1mm target) applies only when printing with borders at 100% / actual size and after verifying the calibration square, as described in the print guide. Borderless printing is excluded from this promise. Automated checks cannot verify your printer's physical output.
Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the new Terms.
